Abingdon Ruritan Club Members support Parents of Achilles Elementary School Students. On June 1, Raven Cash, Chair of the Club’s Public Service Committee and her son Brody provided 250 munchkins and 4 boxes of coffee from Dunkin Donuts for breakfast to the parents. The parents came in to take a simulated SOL to experience what their children go through when taking the SOL. They provide feedback on what can be done to make the testing more beneficial to their children’s needs. David Kyle, club member, created the labels and signs to promote Abingdon Ruritan Club. Shown in the picture are Raven and Brody illustrating how the “breakfast” was set up. The parents were very appreciative.
